Meek Mill Freed From House Arrest, Performs at Beyonce's Formation Tour

Meek Mill was freed from house arrest yesterday and used the day as a free man to attend Beyonce’s Formation tour in Philly.
The rapper attended the show with his girlfriend Nicki Minaj and even hit the stage with DJ Khaled. Mill was originally scheduled to be released from house arrest last week, but failed to perform assigned community service so he had to serve another 8 days. The judge approved him going to the concert, according to TMZ. His original release date was pushed back because he did not perform community service in the right places. He was assigned to work 90 days with the homeless, Habitat for Humanity or senior citizens and veterans. He did not meet those requirements, however, he did spend time visiting schools, helping with Flint’s water crisis and giving motivational speeches. He also did not meet the hours requirement. His house arrest will be reevaluated, according to the judge.
Meek Mill and girlfriend Nicki Minaj were able to link up with some rap veterans at the concert including Jay Z and DMX. Minaj posted a pic of the couple with the “Ruff Ryders Anthem” rapper with the caption “Whr my doggz.” Meek Mill was sentence to 90 days house arrest in February for violating the terms of his parole in a 2009 drug and gun case. At the time, the sentencing was considered a win for the rapper since it kept him from going back to prison. He was found in violation of parole in December of last year and blamed it on his erratic concert schedule. The rapper petitioned the judge before receiving his sentence. “I just want to ask you for a chance to turn that corner and be a changed man,” he said. “You said you saw something in me..I want to prove you right. I believe I can be the bright star you intended me to be,” he said.
