California Students Have Two Pound Joint Confiscated On 4/20
This past Saturday, marijuana smokers all over the country celebrated 4/20, but few had plans to celebrate like a group of students at the University of California, Santa Cruz. The students successfully rolled a 2-pound joint, though as they were prepping to smoke it, campus police spoiled the fun.
An officer was pictured carrying the ridiculously large joint, which looked to be almost 3 feet long. UCSC's 4/20 celebration is typically populated by over 1,000 people, and shutting down the event would cost more than patrolling it.
In a recent New York Times article, they suggested a joint in California is the "equivalent of a beer in a paper bag on the streets of Greenwich Village."

Chris Brown on Hip Hop Album: "I Have to Progress as an Emcee"
Chris Brown spoke to Power 98 on the potential of him recording a complete hip-hop album in the future with him only rapping the entire time. While Chris has demonstrated his rapping abilities over the years on various songs, he doesn't think the world is quite ready for him to be viewed as an actual rapper just yet. Instead, he likes having his options open to take on different genres of music without ridicule. If he tries to go hard with rapping he feels as though he'd put himself in a creative box in the eyes of fans and haters.
"For me, I think I would have to progress more as an emcee first. It's just me having fun and showcasing who I am. So an album, I would really have to be taken a hundred percent serious as a rapper. I like Rap. I love it. Music is my passion. Even on my album now, there's a couple songs that I rap on. But as far as a whole album, I don't know if the world is ready for Chris Brown, the rapper.
"Music is for everyone. When you put genres on music, you segregate it... I want to always be able to do any kind of music I want. When I get older I might want to do a Country album. Next year, I might want to do an all Hip Hop album or Alternative album. Just making sure that anything that goes down, showing my audience or showing people that have a creative mind that you can do anything you want, it's just about believing and loving what you're doing in a positive way."
Tahiry to Make Her Big Screen Debut in New "Holla" Horror Flick
Tahiry was present at the recent New York premiere for "Holla II" which has been described as the "first Black horror film in 13 years," and it was announced that she'll be acting out a role in the third installment of the slasher franchise. She was photographed talking with the cast and crew, and it was the film's producer Monica "Dollphace" Floyd, who made the official announcement according to DRJays.com.

Lil Scrappy's Baby Moms Erica Calls Momma Dee "Satan's Sister"
"Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" co-stars Momma Dee and Erica Dixon make no secret of their animosity towards one another, but Lil Scrappy's baby moms didn't hold back her feelings during a recent interview with Global Grind. Erica let it all out when she compared Momma Dee to "Satan's sister."
"I pray for Momma Dee. If I see her, I speak, but other than that, I don't want no [sic] dealings with her because that's Satan's sister."
The rift between the two women has been formed over their mutual love for Scrappy, with each one feeling that they know what's best for him. Scrappy proposed to Erica last year, but she's been seen without her engagement ring in recent months, leading some to believe they've separated.
Erica also revealed what she thinks Momma Dee is missing in her life.
"I tried to find the peace, but it's been nothing but just negativity, and I think it's because she's old and she's so miserable and she needs to find a man. She need some d–k."
Alicia Keys Rocks Bikini Body in Bahamas With Son
Alicia Keys took a break from her fast-paced music career to spend quality time with her two-year-old son Egypt on the beaches of the Bahamas. The "Girl on Fire" singer rocked a floral string bikini with confidence as she took a refreshing dip in the cool blue ocean.
Back on the sand, Alicia and Egypt spent the day making sandcastles and playing in the tide outside of the luxurious Atlantis hotel.
Alicia is currently on her "Set the World on Fire" tour, and showed no signs of strain after her long night of performing in Miami the night before. She'll start the European leg of her tour in May, which will extend until the beginning of July.

Lil Scrappy Behind Bars After Refusing Urine Test
Lil Scrappy has been locked up after the rapper/reality star turned himself in to an Atlanta jail this morning after a warrant was issued for his arrest for refusing to give a urine sample.
Officials say the Atlanta emcee violated his probation back in March after they claim his pee test had been tampered with. When asked to submt another cup, he refused.
The court eventually issued a warrant for his arrest, and on Tuesday Scrappy turned himself in.
On his way to jail, Scrappy was photographed saying goodbye to fiancee Erica Dixon and his mother, Momma Dee, who already had a "Free Scrappy" tee made up.

Kim & Kanye Worry About Being Homeless Once the Baby is Born
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are going through hard times at the moment. It appears as though the possibility of actually being homeless is knocking at their door. Well, homeless in a very rich sense at least.
According to TMZ, Kanye's $3.3 million Hollywood Hills home is on the verge of being sold and he has already moved out completely. Meanwhile, Kim's $5 million Beverly Hills home has already been sold off but she has to be completely moved out by August 1st. Now they did purchase a humongous $9 million mansion together in Bel Air back in February, but it's currently undergoing heavy maintenance and won't be ready for them to move into by the time the baby comes.
They've apparently been considering living with Kim's mother for a while until the renovations on their new home are finished. The other option is a funny one. Kimye have apparently been considering renting out a home... for $50k a month!
Tough times indeed.

Will Smith Opens Up About Jada's Facebook Marriage Comments
Will Smith and son Jaden made the rounds to promote their new film "After Earth," where they opened up about their family life, and Will commented on Jada's recent remarks about their marriage on Facebook.
"Jada is very serious and opinionated and she loves Facebook because it's the only place she's ever had where she's felt like all of her can be received. She's struggled her whole life where only a part of her is OK."
Jaden also chimed in on his mom's love of Facebook, saying "[impersonating Jada] 'I don't care what people say. If we get hit for this, this is what the truth of the world is.' Uh, okkkkay mom. She'll be on the phone with a manager, 'I don't care what they said, I'm posting this on Facebook.' I think she should write a book."

Rihanna Previews Topless Photoshoot
Rihanna recently jetted into Atlanta for a stop on her "Diamonds" tour, and happened to meet up with Gabrielle Union, who's in the ATL filming her new BET show "Being Mary Jane," and Ludacris, who were just two of many celebs kickin' it backstage.
The pop star, who just set a new Billboard Record for Pop Music, also ran into the OMG Girlz, T.I., and Tiny & Shakeenah. Jermaine Dupri and his daughter Shaniah happened to be chilling backstage as well, along with Gabby & Chanel Iman.

Amber & Wiz Celebrate Sebastian's 2-Month Birthday
Amber and Wiz have had a good April so far. Just two days after enjoying the herbal bliss of 4/20, the loving parents snuggled in with their son and celebrated his birthday a bit earlier than most people do. Instead of waiting until Bash turned a full year old, they were super excited that he turned two-months-old on Monday, April 22nd, and so Amber gave him a special loving shout-out on Twitter.
The Bash is certainly going to grow up with a lot of love in his life with his parents treating him this warmly already.
After setting things off at her concert in Atlanta, Rihanna made her way to the popular gentleman's club "Magic City" with T.I., Tiny, B.o.B., and Akon's brother Bu Thiam for a little fun. Rihanna posted a few photos to her Instagram as she made it rain in the club, which seems to be one of her favorite pastimes these days.

Beyonce & Blue Ivy Have Girls' Day Out in UK
Beyonce decided to spend some quality time with her #1 girl Blue Ivy while taking a break from touring in Newbury, Berkshire at a store called Mothercare. A screen capture of surveillance footage showed Bey walking in with sunglasses and a hooded sweatshirt, while Blue Ivy was left uncovered.
The store manager confirmed that Beyonce visited the store, "We can confirm that she was in the store but we respect her privacy as a new mum. If she wants to come in again, we would love to see her."
Bey was able to shop in the store for a short while until she was recognized, which reportedly caused a commotion.

Kid Cudi Recalls His Fear Telling Kanye About Label Departure
Kid Cudi and Kanye are friends, aside from having just been linked to the same label, and when it came time for Cudi to tell Kanye that he was going to leave G.O.O.D. Music, he was extremely nervous. He described his fear of breaking the news to Kanye during a recent interview with MTV News.
"I wanted to make sure that when I spoke to him that he understood, and that I didn't say anything to make him upset. This is like a shot in the dark you know, telling someone, you know, what I had to tell him.
"I was over thinking it, I was way off. When I got on the phone with him and we talked, within the first five minutes I was like 'phew, holy sh*t! (Laughs) That was the most stressful 48 hours before now ever!'"
It looks like Kanye was very understanding once they had their conversation.

Miley Cyrus is proud of her body, and decided to show it off during a recent shopping trip around Sherman Oaks, CA over the weekend. Dressed in a pair of white micro mini shorts, gold chain belt, black tank top and stilettos, Miley confidently strolled down the sidewalk as paparazzi trailed her every move.
While Miley had piled on layers of gold jewelry, she was clearly missing her engagement ring from Liam Hemsworth, as rumors continue to swirl that they've called things off. Miley's dad, Billy Ray, slipped up and told the media that he doesn't know if Miley and Liam will walk down the aisle.
Billy Ray told Nightline, "I play it by ear and whatever's meant to be, that's what's going to happen."

Kanye Allegedly Quitting Music for 6 Months After Baby Arrives
It's no secret that Kim and Kanye don't get to see each other as much as they would like. Kim was even forced do admit at her deposition during the Kris Humphries divorce trial that she spends more time away from 'Ye than with him. That may all soon change. A source tells HollywoodLife that Kanye has been in Paris trying to get all his work done so he can take off after the baby is born.
“He’s getting all the work out the way so that he can be with Kim and the baby nonstop for at least the first six months,” the source explained.
“Once their baby is born, Kanye will be on a self imposed lockdown!” We think it’s so great that Kanye is making sure he can be there for Kim and their new baby!," added the source.
Joey Bada$$ Refuses To Be An Opening Act Under Trinidad James
Joey Bada$$ might be young, but he's not shy about speaking his mind. The Brooklyn emcee was supposed to be on the bill for Wiz Khalifa and A$AP Rocky's "Under the Influence" Tour, but he refused to perform as an opening act under Trinidad Jame$. Apparently, the Pro Era member sees himself as an "APEX" rapper, above his XXL Freshman Class of 2013 colleague.
Joey decided to address the situation via his Twitter.
"If I'm under Trinidad Jame$ I'm not doing the Under the Influence Tour. Straight," tweeted Joey. "No disrespect to the man on gold. But I just don't like seeing myself at the bottom. APEX."
The "Under the Influence" Tour will also feature B.o.B., Berner, Chevy Woods, and Smoke DZA.
Jim Jones Calls Out Newark Police For Racial Profiling Him
Harlem rapper Jim Jones is claiming he was racially profiled and discriminated against by Police last week, while he was waiting for a friend at Newark airport.
Four white cops approached Jones after they smelled marijuana coming from his car. The cops ordered him out of the car, and made him stand with his hands on the trunk. After a search for drugs, the cops turned up nothing.
Though Jimmy didn't have any green, he also didn't have a license on him. The Dipset rapper was hit with driving citation, but that isn't what made him especially angry.
Jim's rep told TMZ that Jim is enraged over the incident, and believes "he was searched for nothing more than racial profiling."

French Montana just recently revealed that he squashed his longtime, internet beef with 50 Cent, but the Bad Boy rapper has found himself in yet another beef.
Former Coke Boyz member Charlie Rock is apparently angry at French. Rock has dissed French before, but in a recent diss track, he essentially declares war on his former friend.

A$AP Rocky Refusing to Pay Victim of Alleged Beatdown
Back in 2012, A$AP Rocky was arrested for allegedly beating up two photographers who apparently filmed a fight that A$AP got into with a store clerk at a clothing store. The photographers also claimed that A$AP tried to steal their footage after assaulting them. The rapper settled a plea deal and walked away with a slap on the wrist after receiving three days community service and probation. However, now in 2013, the initial "victim" who he first exchanged blows with is seeking a financial payment from the Harlem rapper for the alleged assault.
The lawsuit set in place late last year by Shenick Alcine claims that Rocky beat him up after he spotted the rapper doing drugs inside of the clothing store (most likely smoking marijuana). However, Rocky has finally responded to the claims and requested that the judge throw out the lawsuit, for Rocky is stressing that Alcine is a liar and he actually put hands on him only in self defense.
We'll have to wait and see how this particular lawsuit plays out in the near future.
Shots Fired at Lil Flip 4/20 Show in Denver, 2 Wounded
Houston rapper Lil Flip was performing at Denver's 4/20 concert on Saturday at Civic Center Park, which was interrupted by gun fire. Police reported that three or four shots were fired, injuring two people and a dog.
Police didn't release any information on a motive, or a suspect in the shooting, causing pandemonium which was all caught on tape. A woman can be seen being treated for her wound, while other festival goers hightail it out of the vicinity.
Lil Flip was also filmed taking notice of the shooting, and saying "Hol up! They shooting..like Nas" before running off the stage. He also tweeted about the incident, writing "I am just grateful that no one was seriously hurt. ...and FOR THE RECORD, the incident had NOTHING to do with the #420 in #denver."
Wiz Khalifa Takes an L: $1 Mil Lawsuit vs Promoter Dismissed
According to TMZ, Wiz Khalifa sued the concert promotional company "It's My Party, Inc." for $1 million for cancelling his scheduled performance date at George Mason University. The claim in Wiz's lawsuit was that he was promised $85,000 with an additional percentage of the profits earned from the show, but he ended up suing the company for a much larger sum due to damages that the cancellation would bring his reputation in the eyes of his fans.
However, "It's My Party" hit Wiz with a massive counter that won them the case and made the judge dismiss his entire lawsuit. They revealed that Wiz never signed an official contract to perform, so therefore when they cancelled the show, no contract was breached; therefore the case was dismissed.
Even though Wiz lost this lawsuit, his pockets are still very stable at the moment.

John Legend is about to go where no one has gone before. Hip Hop has never had an outwardly gay artist, and while Frank Ocean paved the path for others, he's more of a singer than a rapper.
Legend is reportedly working on a show with HBO, which will center around a gay rapper who grapples with whether or not to come out amid Miami's party scene. The show will feature fictionalized sports stars and models as well.

Trinidad James Estimates That 9 Out of 10 Men Have Side Chick
"All Gold Everything" rapper Trinidad James recently had an interview with Vibe magazine, in which he explained why 90 percent of men have a side-chick while in a relationship.
On his track, "Females Welcomed," Trinidad James raps in depth about main chicks and side chicks. He let Vibe know that "every dude has a side chick, like 9 out of 10."
James also explained to Vibe what the term "turnt up" means to him.
"Turning up is when the people can feel it," said Trinidad. "You can say you're 'turnt up' all you want to, but when the people are turnt, you're gonna know you're really turning up. All the other sh*t, it sound really cute."
DMX Still Heated Over TV Appearance, Curses Out Iyanla
DMX believes the Oprah Winfrey Network purposely tricked him into spilling his drug problems on air, during his recent appearance on "Iyanla: Save My Life."
X maintains that all of Iyanla's questions about his drug use were out of line and never cleared beforehand. Though DMX answered most of her questions, he feels used and taken advantage of.
"Iyanla set the whole thing up to make me look bad for ratings," DMX told TMZ. "That lady is toxic...my last words to her were that she can suck my d*ck and she still can."
Carmelo Anthony Has Family Night Out After Winning Game One
The Knicks fought off the Celtics for the win in Game 1 of the Playoffs on Saturday afternoon. Carmelo Anthony scored 36 in the win, and propelled them to victory with his clutch scoring. To celebrate, Melo took his wife and his 6-year-old son Kiyan to Nobu for a nice family dinner.
Kiyan and LaLa attended the game as well, with Kiyan decked out in Melo gear to support his dad. LaLa didn't look too bad either. Check out the family pictures above.

Jay-Z's longtime engineer and right-hand-man, Young Guru, experienced
an absolute catastrophe last night. While in D.C. his computer was
apparently stolen from his car, presumably holding unreleased material.Guru tweeted, "My bag just got stolen from the car in DC, this is the worst!!!! Broken glass is nothing just give me my computer!!!!"
The engineer told Complex last year that he's the guy Jay-Z trusts the most with his unreleased music, so in the event music gets leaked, it's his fault.
Hopefully Young Guru had most of the music on a separate hard drive.

Snoop Lion's 4/20 Party Shut Down by Cops
The shindig, held in a mansion, was to be streamed live and exclusively by AllHipHop.com.
Dubbed "Snoop Lion 420 Festival", the event was to celebrate all things marijuana, but cops shut it down after receiving multiple complaints from neighbors.
The party began at 11:00 am and was cancelled before Snoop even arrived. The neighbors allegedly complained because of the noise.

Soulja Boy Threatens To Kill Chief Keef On His Facebook Page
Soulja Boy was in Chicago this weekend, and had some harsh words for GBE rapper Chief Keef. The "Crank Dat" rapper threatened the life of Chief Keef on his Facebook page Friday, posting Keef's cell phone number and telling him he's outside with the "choppa."
Despite being in London at the moment, Keef couldn't let it go. He responded to Soulja's threats via Twitter posting, "(404) 713-7387 Call Me And Holja Boy At This Number????"
Predictably, Soulja Boy is now claiming his account was hacked, and that he sent none of the inflammatory comments. Soulja was likely still angry about his altercation with GBE affiliate Ballout, who bragged earlier in the month about stealing Soulja's chain.
T.I. Worried About Hip Hop Being Blamed For Boston Bombings
It was recently revealed that the Boston bombing suspects were fans of hip hop, citing tweets and a membership to a hip hop site called "Real-Hiphop.com" as proof.
At the top of Real-HipHop.com's website is T.I.'s face, so naturally, Tip isn't too happy about being connected to the terrorists. He told TMZ that he's never even heard of Real-HipHop.com, and had no ideas his pictures were posted there. More importantly, T.I. was worried that hip hop would now be pulled into this mess.
